As the Richmond area's oldest supplier of architectural salvage, Caravati's Architectural Salvage has been dedicated to serving the customer in every aspect of old house restoration, remodeling, and repair since 1939.
Owned and operated by the Kastelburg family, Caravati's offers a wealth of salvaged house parts ranging from the simplest of rough-cut heart pine lumber to the intricate decor of a Queen Anne Victorian home. Caravati's caters to the homeowner, contractors, designers, artists, and the everyday passerby.
Caravati’s moved to the Town of Ashland in 2021. They are located in the historic Loving Ford Motor Company building at 201 England Street. Their expanded showroom showcases architectural artifacts, restored pieces, and goods made by local artisans.
“We love several things about being in Ashland, but the best thing so far is the small-town atmosphere and the comradery between neighbors, customers, and other small business owners," said Ben Kastelberg. "The amount of support and interest that the town has given us is unmatched. We are honored to have the opportunity to do business in such a wonderful place.”
Caravati's is open Tuesday through Friday from 9am-5pm and Saturday from 10am-5pm Stop in for a gift or antique treasure today!
