ALERT: Brush Fire in I-95 Area in Ashland

Expect heavy smoke in the area of I-95 in Ashland, Virginia. Crews have been working overnight at a large brush fire in the area. Hanover Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia Department of Forestry are on the scene assisting with equipment needs. Areas impacted by heavy smoke are N. Carter Road, N. Hill Carter Parkway, I-95 from 92 to 94-mile marker and Quarles Road. Smoke is visible in Ashland and on I-95. Operations are ongoing at this time.
