DC2RVA Information

Overview

Information about the proposed DC2RVA project changes rapidly.  The Town of Ashland will use this portion of the website to provide its citizens with the most up to date information about the project, upcoming events, and general updates about the progress of the project and how it will impact the Town of Ashland and its residents.  
 

Important Updates

1. On Wednesday, December 6 the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) unanimously adopted a resolution supporting option 5A (the 3-2-3 option) through the Ashland/Hanover portion of the DC2RVA corridor.  The resolution includes language intended to limit property acquisition along the tracks in Ashland and protect property and operations at Randolph-Macon College.  The resolution by the CTB is a recommendation to the Federal Railroad Administration who will make the ultimate decision on the track improvements throughout the 123 mile DC2RVA corridor.  The resolution is available below under Ashland Resolutions, Analysis and Updates.

2. The

sixty day public comment window for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement closed on November 7, 2017.
