Virginia Business One Stop helps new business owners navigate the first steps they will take to legally establish their business. These include: Selecting a business structure, professional Licensing, Federal and state tax registration, the eVA System, and other important first step items.

Renovated from an old firehouse in the heart of downtown Ashland, this facility offers a unique space for startups, early stage businesses, and creatives alike. From their nine available private offices for resident companies, to their large, open common area for co-working, the Dominion Energy Innovation Center is designed to foster collaboration and productivity.

Virginia Community Capital
Virginia Community Capital (VCC) is a multi-million dollar non-profit, community development financial institution (CDFI) and banking entity which provides innovative loan and investment solutions for affordable housing and economic development projects in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Their goal is to offer innovative, flexible financial products designed to support housing and community development ventures which increase jobs and build sustainable communities.

U.S. Small Business Administration

Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity
This newly-formed state agency was created with the combination of the Department of Business Assistance and the Department of Minority Business Enterprise. The Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity helps small, women and minority owned businesses achieve the certifications necessary to gain access to SWAM opportunities in the Federal and state procurement systems.

Capital Region Small Business Development Center

The CRSBDC serves small businesses and start ups in the greater Richmond region. Areas of emphasis include business plan development, market research, raising capital, financial management, strategic planning, and organization development.

Hanover Chamber of Commerce
The Hanover Chamber of Commerce is Hanover’s largest business association, and works to create community across the County and Town by providing relevant networking and business building opportunities to local business leaders. The HCC is also an important liaison between the business community and local governments in Hanover.

SCORE
SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) is comprised of active and retired business men and women who provide clients with free and confidential business counseling to help them succeed in today’s competitive business marketplace.
