    Learn about Complete Streets and a regional pilot program in the Town of Ashland. Hear about how our region can work together to make streets function effectively for everyone, regardless of age, ability or mode of travel. Complete Streets- Facilitated by Smart Growth America, Michael Baker International, and PlanRVA, the open house will provide the general public, TPO Policy Board and committee members the opportunity to review recommendations for undertaking a more comprehensive process for implementing complete streets practices in the Town of Ashland and the region.   2. Ashland to Petersburg Trail Study Public Meeting

    September 30, 2019, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Hilton Garden Inn Richmond South/Southpark

    The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking public input on the preferred multi-use trail corridor identified during the Ashland to Petersburg Trail Study. Through a virtual presentation and two Public Information Meetings, VDOT will provide an overview of the Ashland to Petersburg Trail Study process to date, present the findings from the development and evaluation of multi-use trail corridor options, present the preferred multi-use trail corridor for the development of future active transportation projects, and solicit feedback on the study findings and recommendations.
